The Angry Birds Have Arrived

Everyone in the family plays this game. Abe loves it ... I think because the goal is to hit pigs. Aliq plays it very well. He screams in joy everytime he gets a new high score. For those who have are living insides caves, Angry Birds is a video game available for iphone and android users where with the use of a slingshot, the player launches the birds with the goal of hitting the pigs and clearing the field. The birds are angry because the pigs stole their eggs.

As the original game is a bit violent. Birds killing pigs. I let Aliq play the Rio version instead where the goal is to save birds that were captured in Brazil.

The angry birds have arrived in our house, courtesy of my sister, Teejae.

The boys love those birds.

I like them because their material is silky and does not gather much dust.

Cyempre, we don't have the stuffed baboy.

We hate those pigs with a passion.
I particularly hate this one coz they are almost impossible to kill.
May helmet ang baboy !! Kaloka !

My sister got them from Clipper Giftshop in Market!Market!

My friend Maya informed me that the game is now available for PC users. Now, everyone can waste time enjoy playing. Go kill those pigs !

Mabuhay

In my recent experience with Asia's First Airline, the Philippine Airlines, my Economy ticket was upgraded to Mabuhay Class for free. How sweet is that !!

While it was not my first time to fly in Business Class and not my first time on PAL's Boeing 747-400, it was my first time aboard the Upper Deck. It was amazing !! And cold ... a respite from the Manila heat.

Look at that Leg Room

I was not able to take pictures of my meal and drinks or the lavatory and everything else because in planes, I always doze off just a few minutes after my pwet hits my seat and I don't, as a personal rule,  use airplane lavatories.

Take a Virtual Tour of the Mabuhay Class Upper Deck Cabin here.

Rizal

Presidential Proclamation No. 154 dated April 26, 2011 issued by President Benigno S. Aquino III declares June 20,2011 (Monday) as a Special Non-Working Day throughout the country in view of the 150th Birthday of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal on June 19.

The purpose of the holiday is to give me time to rest "to give all Filipinos the opportunity to commemorate Rizal’s patriotic deeds and sacrifices for the country, rekindle their admiration and respect for him, and to celebrate this milestone with appropriate ceremonies."

I am not much of a Rizalian, as I prefer Fort Bonifacio over Rizal Park, (hehehehe), but i did enjoy reading El Filibusterismo and Noli Me Tangere and i have always believed that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Tea for Free

My boys drink only Wilkins distilled water. There's no regular supply of Wilkins in 5-Gallon container for dispensers, here in Davao City, so we buy the 6L bottles in bulk. I did the grocery at Robinsons Cybergate this week and I got some freebies with my Wilkins. Yey !!

Free 1L Real Leaf Green Tea for every Wilkins 6L bottle

The Freebie costs 23PHP for a 75PHP purchase.

A Good and Refreshing Bargain.

Sarap pala ng Real Leaf Green Tea.  It's apple flavored which is perfect for me. Healthy pa. It is made from 100% whole grean tea leaves and that it's naturally packed with Theanine, an amino acid that's a good stress remedy. And most of all, it's libre. Real Happiness.

Baha

It rained so hard early this morning. Woke up at 6AM with the rain pounding on our roof. I was late for work because I am monitoring Aliq's medicine intake in the morning. Mabuti na rin yun, di ko naabutan ang major major baha on the road. Pero sa office, baha pa rin. Behold, our office swimming pool !

Welcome to our office.

Our usually brimming parking space ...

... Is now a swimming pool ! :)

God bless our former boss, Red Buiser for building the pathway.

But we still have to cross the makeshift "bridge" to get to our lobby.

The water goes all the way the path to our new building at the back.

View from our lobby at 11AM.

Accdg to William, at 8 AM, the water reached up to where he is standing.

This car is on an elevated area of our parking space.

Dili kasugakod ang among reversible water pump.
The dog (of our boss) is enjoying the bed weather.

What A Wet Wednesday!

Stay Safe Everyone !

Ilog Maria

I don't remember exactly how I got to know of this seller of organic products. I remember looking for a mild ointment to treat mosquito bite when my second son was born but how I was led to the Ilog Maria website, nakalimutan ko na.

I was particularly intrigued by their Propolis products. According to wikipedia, Propolis is a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive. Propolis is marketed by health food stores as a traditional medicine, and for its claimed beneficial effect on human health. It has powerful local antibiotic and antifungal properties .

I would order from their website (because they don't have stores or dealerships), get an email for payment instructions from a Joel Magsaysay  and my order would arrive two days after payment. I swear, the Propolis ointment is so effective on bites ... nawawala agad ang kati at pamumula. I used it even when my second born was a little baby. I have tried various other ointments on my firstborn but talbog silang lahat sa Ilog Maria product na ito.

Yesterday, I was at NCCC Mall (this is really becoming a favorite place because of their purchasers are kinda good and they are first to bring to Davao City some of the more popular brands) and I dropped by HB1 to get some hand sanitizer and I found some Ilog Maria products on their shelves. How nice is that !!

It's somewhere on the right side from the entrance.
Right under that beige teddy bear.
They have the Spa products.

Soaps and Essential Oils

Honey Cider Vinegar ... Interesting!

Lotions and Massage Oils

I was not able to properly inspect their line of Ilog Maria products as I was in bit of a rush. They don't have the propolis ointment yet, but I intend to write them a letter to ask them to include that in their next order. I can wait. I still have two jars at home. Yey !!!
